Stiff joints and initial lameness
Properties per ingredient: Glucosamine (as glucosamine sulfate 2 KCl) is the easily absorbable form of glucosamine and is good for building cartilage in the joints. Contributes to smooth movement
Chondroitin sulfate Chondroitin sulfates are building blocks for the production of cartilage. It is good for the synovia (joint fluid) and thus ensures good lubrication of the joints.
Methylsulfonylmethane (MSM) is an essential nutrient for joint tissue, so it is important for joint function.
Calcium citrate is important in bone building, it regulates the acid / base balance in the blood, ensures strong bones.
Magnesium citrate is important for bone strength and has a relaxing effect.
Selenium (as -L-methionine) is an important antioxidant, has a cell-protective effect.
Iron (as fumarate) good for many metabolic processes. Iron is good for the connective tissue. For a quick recovery.
Zinc (as -L-methionine good for cartilage synthesis. In horses, preferably not given in combination with too much muesli, due to the presence of phytic acid in the muesli, zinc is less well absorbed.
Manganese (as -sulfate) is part of several enzymes, in particular glycosyltransferases. These are good for the production of glycosaminoglycans in the cartilage. If there is too much phosphorus in the diet, the absorption of manganese is disturbed.
Copper (as amino acid chelate) Copper is an essential component of several enzymes, including enzymes that are important in connective tissue and bone formation. Copper also has a cell-protective effect, as it is an important building block of the antioxidant enzyme SOD that protects tissue.
Boswelia serrata (frankincense tree) provides smooth movement.
Harpagophytum procumbens (devil's claw) helps with recovery. Keeps the joints flexible.
Ginger (Zingiber officinalis) for the maintenance of healthy cells and tissues.
Dosage and Application:
Unless the doctor or therapist prescribes otherwise.
The optimal dose 2 x daily:
Horse 1 scoop
Pony 2/3 scoop
1 scoop contains approximately 9 grams.
When your horse or pony is running smoothly again, you can reduce the dose to 1 x daily.
If it is difficult in practice to administer this product several times a day, 1 time per day or 1 time per 2 days will suffice. Then give the maximum dose of one day. Even then, this product can be used effectively, but the reaction may take a little longer.
Administration can be given through the feed. Moisten the powder so that it does not blow out of the feeder.
Advice for use Look carefully at the reaction of the animal. Provide the necessary rest, but also provide exercise. If you experience pain when moving, it is wise to take the animal for short walks on a regular basis. Rectilinear movements in particular are good for keeping the joints flexible and strengthening ligaments and tendons. Abrupt stops and turns, such as playing with other animals, must be avoided. This puts too much strain on the muscles, tendons and joints.
Duration of treatment The effect is usually visible after 1 to 3 weeks. Upon improvement, a maintenance dose can be used. This is usually half the dosage indicated on the package. When dosing this product, carefully observe the reaction of the animal. A higher dose may be required in the beginning, this product can be safely given in a double dose. Reduce the dose gradually to the lowest possible dose. This product can be given permanently in case of chronic complaints. It is advisable to take a stop week after every 6 to 8 weeks. In this way, after the stop week, the 'stimulus' can be offered again. Resume the treatment immediately if the complaints give cause to do so.
Storage Avoid direct sunlight and keep this product dry and at a temperature between 5-20C. Keep out of reach of children. The best before date is stated on the label and the box.
Synergy and combinations with other products PUUR Glucosamine complete can be combined without any problems with regular medication such as painkillers. If the animal is already using regular painkillers, combine both drugs for the first time and gradually reduce the chemical painkillers if possible. Watch the animal's reaction closely. If necessary, use PUUR Plus for extra support, PUUR Veg Omega contributes to a smooth movement. Phytonics Omni milk can be used externally to be lubricated on the joint for relaxation and relief.
Interactions with regular or natural medicines are possible. Ginger extracts can influence the absorption process of other substances as well as blood clotting.
Contraindications Use during pregnancy only in consultation with the veterinarian.
