Our ingredients

To make our feed, 10.6 kg of meat is dried for a 12 kg bag, so that it can be processed better in our pellets. With the right amount of vegetables, fruit and herbs, Yourdog is a healthy, nutritious choice for dogs.

Buffalo

At Yourdog we use meat from free-raised and grass-fed buffalo. Buffalo meat is known for its creamy, fresh taste and rich color and is full of vitamins and minerals. With a lower cholesterol and fat content and fewer calories, this tender meat is packed with health benefits.

Poultry

At Yourdog we use duck, chicken and turkey which together provide a delicious taste and aroma of the kibble. The highly digestible proteins in the poultry ensure good muscle building and are rich in vitamins and minerals.

Vegetable

Super healthy vegetables have been added to our food to provide the dog with extra valuable nutrients. For example, vegetables are not only nutritious, but they also have other healthy properties. The raw fiber in vegetables is good for the intestines and can contribute to digestion, among other things.

Fruit

We add a unique combination of fruit to Yourdog, so that the dog receives all essential, natural antioxidants. Spices

The healthy herbs that enrich our feed come from plants from Europe. The use of herbs, roots, flowers, plants and seaweed has its origins back thousands of years. These ingredients support the natural processes in the dog's body, such as digestion. Every ingredient that we add to our dog food has been carefully selected for its positive properties. Depending on the size of the dog, the breed or the breed group, ingredients are given extra attention. Breed-specific complaints can be reduced by using herbs, roots, flowers and plants.

Landseer specific vegetables, herbs and fruits

We have carefully researched the breed characteristics of the Landseer. We have also researched the characteristics of the FCI breed section and the FCI breed group to which the Landseer belongs. From these studies, in consultation with leading Dutch nutritionist, ingredients have been selected that optimally benefit the health and well-being of the Landseer.

Peppermint

Peppermint is a plant from the lip flower family. It is the plant that led to the making of mints. Peppermint originated from a cross between watermint and spearmint. The plant was found in England in the seventeenth century in a field of mint plants. The plant is grown in England, France, China, Japan and in North and South America.

We can add peppermint to dog food because it could make a positive contribution to the prevention of breed-specific complaints in relation to the intestines and gallbladder. Preventing itching is also one of the properties of the peppermint plant.

Peppermint can promote fresh breath. The mint in peppermint can have an anti-spasmodic effect on the gut and promotes the flow of bile in the gut. In addition, it can have an antiseptic effect.

Peppermint is rich in vitamins A and C and minerals such as calcium, copper, iron, magnesium and phosphorus.

Spirulina

Spirulina is a food supplement with an exceptionally high nutritional value, made from blue-green algae found in tropical and subtropical regions. It belongs to the microalgae family. Did you know that spirulina can be grown in space and consists of 60 to 70% protein?

It is rich in vitamins, including B12, minerals, such as calcium, iron, zinc, magnesium and potassium and all essential amino acids. Spirulina can contribute to dog health and well-being in an overall sense. In addition, it can help support the immune system and promote healthy skin and a shiny coat. The algae also has a detoxifying effect and promotes digestion.

cranberry

The cranberry is a plant from the heather family. This plant is mainly found in the Netherlands on the Wadden Islands and very rare in the rest of the Netherlands. The plant originally comes from North America and is said to have come to the Netherlands for the first time around 1845.

Cranberries contain a unique blend of nutrients that can provide a powerful health boost for dogs. The berries are rich in minerals such as potassium, which ensures a healthy level of vital fluids in the body. These berries are also full of vitamins A, B and C and antioxidants to support the immune system. Vitamin C makes the urine more acidic, which makes the environment in the bladder less attractive to bacteria. Adding cranberry can also have a pain-relieving and anti-inflammatory effect. The healthy fibers in cranberries have a healthy effect on digestion and make you feel full for longer.

Cranberry is added to our dog food because it could make a positive contribution to the prevention of breed-specific complaints in relation to, among other things, digestion, skin, joints, bones and nerve functions.

Puppy, adult or senior?

To help you make the right choice between our varieties of Landseer dog food, you can use the following guidelines. If your Landseer is younger than 11 months, choose the Puppy variant. For a Landseer older than 7 years, we recommend the Yourdog Landseer senior. If your dog is older than 11 months and younger than 7 years, you can choose the Adult variant.

We help you analyze the problems. If we cannot come to an agreement together, we will refund the purchase amount.

Nutritional advice

Switching advice

If you switch to Yourdog from another feed brand, we advise you to follow the following steps. For the first step, feed 25% Yourdog and 75% of the old dog food. The dog can get used to this for two days. Then you feed 50% Yourdog and 50% of the old dog food. It is important that you let the dog get used to this again for two or three days. Then you mix 75% Yourdog and 25% of the old dog food. The dog is now almost completely over to Yourdog. Do this for 2 days. At your own discretion, you can then start feeding 100% Yourdog Landseer dog food.

Storage advice

After opening the Yourdog packaging, the food is exposed to oxygen, moisture and light, which can affect the shelf life and taste. That is why it is important to store the food properly after opening the bag, preferably in an airtight storage box or barrel in a dry, cool and dark place. It is best not to put the food loose in the barrel, but to put it in the barrel with the whole bag, which you close again as well as possible.
