Our ingredients
To make our feed, 10.6 kg of meat is dried for a 12 kg bag, so that it can be processed better in our pellets. With the right amount of vegetables, fruit and herbs, Yourdog is a healthy, nutritious choice for dogs.
Buffalo
At Yourdog we use meat from free-raised and grass-fed buffalo. Buffalo meat is known for its creamy, fresh taste and rich color and is full of vitamins and minerals. With a lower cholesterol and fat content and fewer calories, this tender meat is packed with health benefits.
Poultry
At Yourdog we use duck, chicken and turkey which together provide a delicious taste and aroma of the kibble. The highly digestible proteins in the poultry ensure good muscle building and are rich in vitamins and minerals.
Vegetable

Depending on the size of the dog, the breed or the breed group, ingredients are given extra attention. Breed-specific complaints can be reduced by using herbs, roots, flowers and plants.
Fox terrier wire hair specific vegetables, herbs and fruits
We have carefully researched the breed characteristics of the Wire Fox Terrier. We have also researched the characteristics of the FCI breed section and the FCI breed group to which the Wire Fox Terrier belongs. From these studies, in consultation with leading Dutch nutritionist, ingredients have been selected that optimally benefit the health and well-being of the Wire Fox Terrier.
Spirulina
Spirulina is a food supplement with an exceptionally high nutritional value, made from blue-green algae found in tropical and subtropical regions. It belongs to the microalgae family. Did you know that spirulina can be grown in space and consists of 60 to 70% protein?
It is rich in vitamins, including B12, minerals, such as calcium, iron, zinc, magnesium and potassium and all essential amino acids. Spirulina can contribute to dog health and well-being in an overall sense. In addition, it can help support the immune system and promote healthy skin and a shiny coat. The algae also has a detoxifying effect and promotes digestion.
Nettle
Nettle is a plant genus of which the large nettle and the small nettle occur in the Netherlands and Belgium. Nettle is known for its cleansing and blood purifying effect. According to various sources, nettle is bactericidal and therefore very suitable for infectious diseases. The leaves are also suitable for diarrhea or other digestive disorders.
Nettle supports the functioning of the liver and kidneys by stimulating the breakdown of waste. In addition, it works to support the bladder and hair growth of the dog.
Nettle also contains silicic acid, or silicon. This is a building material that is part of connective tissue in, among other things, the bones, tendons, ligaments, skin, hair and nails. Silicon supports the natural production of the skin (cells) and ensures the maintenance of healthy skin.
At Yourdog we add nettle to our dog food, because it can make a positive contribution to the prevention of breed-specific complaints in relation to the dog's coat, skin and bones, but also to prevent digestive and/or urinary problems .
Carrot
The carrot as we know it today, or the orange carrot, is the result of many years of crossing. The first white carrots originally came from Iran and were brought to the Netherlands by the VOC in the 17th century.
Carrots are an important source of vitamins and fiber. For example, carrots contain retinol (vitamin A1) and beta-carotene, which is converted into vitamin A in the body. This is important for the construction of capillaries and the health of all cells. The fiber in a carrot contributes to the dog's digestive system. In addition, carrots are low in calories and good for coat and skin.
At Yourdog we add carrot to dog food because it can make a positive contribution to the prevention of breed-specific complaints in relation to the dog's coat and skin. But also to promote good vision and healthy digestion.
Puppy, adult or senior?
To help you make the right choice between our Fox Terrier wire hair dog food variants, you can use the following guidelines. If your Wire Fox Terrier is younger than 11 months, choose the Puppy variant. For a Wire Fox Terrier older than 7 years, we recommend the Yourdog Fox Terrier Wire Senior. If your dog is older than 11 months and younger than 7 years, you can choose the Adult variant.

If your Wire Fox Terrier does not seem to like your Yourdog dog food, please contact us. We help you analyze the problems. If we cannot come to an agreement together, we will refund the purchase amount.

Switching advice
If you switch to Yourdog from another feed brand, we advise you to follow the following steps. For the first step, feed 25% Yourdog and 75% of the old dog food. The dog can get used to this for two days. Then you feed 50% Yourdog and 50% of the old dog food. It is important that you let the dog get used to this again for two or three days. Then you mix 75% Yourdog and 25% of the old dog food. The dog is now almost completely over to Yourdog. Do this for 2 days. At your own discretion, you can then start feeding 100% Yourdog Fox terrier wirehair dog food.
Storage advice
After opening the Yourdog packaging, the food is exposed to oxygen, moisture and light, which can affect the shelf life and taste. That is why it is important to store the food properly after opening the bag, preferably in an airtight storage box or barrel in a dry, cool and dark place. It is best not to put the food loose in the barrel, but to put it in the barrel with the whole bag, which you close again as well as possible.
