Our ingredients

To make our feed, 10.6 kg of meat is dried for a 12 kg bag, so that it can be processed better in our pellets. With the right amount of vegetables, fruit and herbs, Yourdog is a healthy, nutritious choice for dogs.

Buffalo

At Yourdog we use meat from free-raised and grass-fed buffalo. Buffalo meat is known for its creamy, fresh taste and rich color and is full of vitamins and minerals. With a lower cholesterol and fat content and fewer calories, this tender meat is packed with health benefits.

Poultry

At Yourdog we use duck, chicken and turkey which together provide a delicious taste and aroma of the kibble. The highly digestible proteins in the poultry ensure good muscle building and are rich in vitamins and minerals.

Vegetable

Super healthy vegetables have been added to our food to provide the dog with extra valuable nutrients. For example, vegetables are not only nutritious, but they also have other healthy properties. The raw fiber in vegetables is good for the intestines and can contribute to digestion, among other things.

Fruit

We add a unique combination of fruit to Yourdog, so that the dog receives all essential, natural antioxidants. For example, fruit can be good for the dog's immune system, but it can also contribute to fresh breath or maintaining healthy digestion. These natural ingredients promote the health of the dog.

Spices

The healthy herbs that enrich our feed come from plants from Europe. The use of herbs, roots, flowers, plants and seaweed has its origins back thousands of years. These ingredients support the natural processes in the dog's body, such as digestion. Every ingredient that we add to our dog food has been carefully selected for its positive properties. Depending on the size of the dog, the breed or the breed group, ingredients are given extra attention. Breed-specific complaints can be reduced by using herbs, roots, flowers and plants.

German spitz specific vegetables, herbs and fruit

We have carefully researched the breed characteristics of the German Spitz. We also investigated the characteristics of the FCI breed section and the FCI breed group to which the German Spitz belongs. In consultation with leading Dutch nutritionist, ingredients have been selected from these studies that optimally benefit the health and well-being of the German Spitz.

Fenugreek

Fenugreek, like the pea, is a plant of the legume family. The plant is also called fenugreek or 'Greek hay'. It originates from Mesopotamia and was already known in the Mediterranean in ancient times. Today, fenugreek is also grown in Central Asia.

Fenugreek is rich in iron and copper. Fenugreek contains saponins and coumarins, which can help with vein problems. It also has anti-inflammatory properties (natural anti-inflammatory) and promotes bile production.

Fenugreek can be added to the feed by us to prevent arthritis, asthma, skin problems. The stomach and intestines also enjoy the positive effects of the addition of fenugreek and it supports healthy digestion.

Apple

The apple tree is a tree from the genus Malus, on which the eating apples, especially well-known in the northern hemisphere, grow. The apple grows in temperate regions.

Dietary fibers have a versatile effect in the digestive tract. They are able to absorb moisture, making the stool soft and supple. Dietary fibers also increase the volume in the intestines. This not only stimulates the functioning of the intestines, but also ensures a thorough removal of waste.

Apples are packed with vitamins, minerals, antioxidants and fiber. In addition, apples are rich in pectin. Pectin is a soluble fiber that contributes to supporting a healthy intestinal flora. It also contributes to the palatability of the chunks and apples are low in calories.

Rich in vitamins A and C. Vitamin A is good for the skin and coat and strengthens the immune system. Vitamin C ensures the development of muscle and bone during the young years.

Carrot

The carrot as we know it today, or the orange carrot, is the result of many years of crossing. The first white carrots originally came from Iran and were brought to the Netherlands by the VOC in the 17th century.

Carrots are an important source of vitamins and fiber. For example, carrots contain retinol (vitamin A1) and beta-carotene, which is converted into vitamin A in the body. This is important for the construction of capillaries and the health of all cells. The fiber in a carrot contributes to the dog's digestive system. In addition, carrots are low in calories and good for coat and skin.

At Yourdog we add carrot to dog food because it can make a positive contribution to the prevention of breed-specific complaints in relation to the dog's coat and skin. But also to promote good vision and healthy digestion.

20 - 40 315-525
40 - 60 525-750

Switching advice

If you switch to Yourdog from another feed brand, we advise you to follow the following steps. For the first step, feed 25% Yourdog and 75% of the old dog food. The dog can get used to this for two days. Then you feed 50% Yourdog and 50% of the old dog food. It is important that you let the dog get used to this again for two or three days. Then you mix 75% Yourdog and 25% of the old dog food. The dog is now almost completely over to Yourdog. Do this for 2 days. At your own discretion, you can then start feeding 100% Yourdog German Spitz dog food.

Storage advice

After opening the Yourdog packaging, the food is exposed to oxygen, moisture and light, which can affect the shelf life and taste. That is why it is important to store the food properly after opening the bag, preferably in an airtight storage box or barrel in a dry, cool and dark place. It is best not to put the food loose in the barrel, but to put it in the barrel with the whole bag, which you close again as well as possible.
