Our ingredients

To make our feed, 10.6 kg of meat is dried for a 12 kg bag, so that it can be processed better in our pellets. With the right amount of vegetables, fruit and herbs, Yourdog is a healthy, nutritious choice for dogs.

Buffalo

At Yourdog we use meat from free-raised and grass-fed buffalo. Buffalo meat is known for its creamy, fresh taste and rich color and is full of vitamins and minerals. With a lower cholesterol and fat content and fewer calories, this tender meat is packed with health benefits.

Poultry

Depending on the size of the dog, the breed or the breed group, ingredients are given extra attention. Breed-specific complaints can be reduced by using herbs, roots, flowers and plants.

We have carefully researched the breed characteristics of the Billy. We also investigated the characteristics of the FCI breed section and the FCI breed group to which the Billy belongs. In consultation with leading Dutch nutritionist, ingredients have been selected from these studies that optimally benefit the health and well-being of the Billy.

Chamomile

Chamomile is a genus of the composite family. Chamomile is widely cultivated in Hungary and Eastern Europe. It also grows wild throughout Europe. The name Chamomile comes from a Greek word meaning Œground apple and refers to the apple scent. Chamomile has a great reputation in naturopathy.

Chamomile can be added by us to Yourdog dog food because it could make a positive contribution to the prevention of breed-specific complaints in relation to the stomach, intestines, skin, rheumatism, nerves, inflammation and urinary tract.

Chamomile can have a mildly calming effect on the dog and so could be used in dogs that often experience stress. In addition, it can have a positive effect on dogs with nervous digestion. It can have a relaxing and antiseptic effect.

Fennel

Fennel is a plant from the umbellifer family and can be recognized by its aniseed flavour. The filiform branches of the leaves are often used as a spice and the seeds as a spice. These seeds have been known for centuries for their medicinal properties.

Like many herbs and seeds, fennel is also rich in various vitamins and minerals. It contains a lot of vitamins A and C and the minerals iron and potassium.

Fennel can be added by us to dog food because it can support digestion and counteract bloating in the stomach and intestines. It can contribute to a healthy cardiovascular system and can have a positive influence on joint problems. Fennel is also said to promote fresh breath.

Blueberry

Puppy, adult or senior?

To help you make the right choice between our Billy dog ​​food variants, you can use the following guidelines. If your Billy is younger than 11 months, choose the Puppy variant. For a Billy older than 7 years, we recommend the Yourdog Billy senior. If your dog is older than 11 months and younger than 7 years, you can choose the Adult variant.

Nutritional advice

Switching advice

If you switch to Yourdog from another feed brand, we advise you to follow the following steps. For the first step, feed 25% Yourdog and 75% of the old dog food. The dog can get used to this for two days. Then you feed 50% Yourdog and 50% of the old dog food. It is important that you let the dog get used to this again for two or three days. Then you mix 75% Yourdog and 25% of the old dog food. The dog is now almost completely over to Yourdog. Do this for 2 days. At your own discretion, you can then start feeding 100% Yourdog Billy dog ​​food.

Storage advice

After opening the Yourdog packaging, the food is exposed to oxygen, moisture and light, which can affect the shelf life and taste. That is why it is important to store the food properly after opening the bag, preferably in an airtight storage box or barrel in a dry, cool and dark place. It is best not to put the food loose in the barrel, but to put it in the barrel with the whole bag, which you close again as well as possible.
